Source database

How Alberta Music Live verifies live music listings.

We use ongoing research, source-backed show details, venue context, and carefully verified artist links to keep the guide useful for finding live music.

Method

What gets checked

A live-music guide is only useful when the date, place, lineup, listening preview, and ticket path are dependable.

01 Show details

Listings are checked for the basics people need most: date, time, venue, city, lineup, and ticket path.

02 Venue context

Venue records help listings resolve to the right place, especially when names, rooms, cities, or recurring calendars change.

03 Artist context

Artist records make future listings better by carrying forward names, genres, bios, listening links, and correction history.

04 Listening links

Spotify and public artist links appear when we are confident they point to the artist on the bill.

Coverage overview

What we track

We track the public ingredients that make listings useful: current shows, venues, artists, cities, ticket paths, listening links, and corrections. This page shows aggregate coverage rather than individual research records.

Artist links

Listening and social coverage

We focus on Spotify embeds first, then official websites, Instagram, TikTok, and Bandcamp. A missing link simply means we are not ready to publish it yet.

Corrections

Help improve the guide

Submit a venue calendar, missing show, artist website, Spotify profile, Instagram, TikTok, Bandcamp, or correction when something looks wrong. Those corrections improve future updates.
